Comment on the Effect of Endocannabinoid System on Rat Behavior

چکیده
I read the recently published article in Vol 6 (3) of Basic and Clinical Neuroscience entitled “Study the Effect of Endocannabinoid System on Rat Behavior in Elevated PlusMaze” by Komaki et al. (2015). In this valuable article, the authors uncovered the effects of AM251 as a CB1 receptor antagonist on anxiety-like behaviors of rats using elevated plus-maze. However, I have a few comments on this article:

متن کاملStudy the Effect of Endocannabinoid System on Rat Behavior in Elevated Plus-Maze
Introduction: Previous studies have shown that cannabinoidergic system is involved in anxiety. However, there are controversial reports in the experimental studies. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of pharmacological stimulation or blocking of CB1 receptors and inhibition of endocannabinoid degradation in anxiety like behavior in elevated plus-maze (EPM) test in rat. The EPM is o...
متن کاملEndocannabinoid System and TRPV1 Receptors in the Dorsal Hippocampus of the Rats Modulate Anxiety-like Behaviors
Objective(s) Fatty acid is amide hydrolase which reduce endogenous anandamide. Transient receptor potential vanilloid-1 (TRPV1) channels have been reported to have a role in the modulation of anxiety-like behaviors in rodents. In the present study, the effects of either endocannabinoid system or TRPV1 channels and their possible interaction on anxiety-like behaviors of the rats were explored. ...
متن کاملP8: Endocannabinoid System Mediate the Effects of Crocin on Development of Neuropathic Pain in a Rat Model of Chronic Constriction Injury
Neuropathic pain involves injury or alteration of the normal sensory and modulatory nervous systems to produce a set of symptoms that are often difficult to treat. Previous study indicates that saffron has anti-inflammatory properties that may be mediate by neurotransmitter system. In this study we determine the role of cannabinoids receptors in peripheral and central effects of Crocin on behav...
متن کاملEffect of muscimol and picrotoxin injection in am and ac nucleus of amygdala on aggressive behavior
Introduction: Aggressive behavior is a major issue in the field of mental health. Pharmacotherapy is often used for the treatment of violent individuals. A neurochemical system most consistently linked with aggression is the GABAergic system. The aim of the present investigation was to examine the effect of muscimol (GABAA agonist) 250 and 500 ng/rat and picrotoxin (GABAA antagonist) 1.5 and...
